P50 charge for certificate of UPCAT results

LAST APRIL 15, the UP Board of Regents (BOR) approved the proposal to charge a fee of P50 for every certificate of UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) results requested.

This move aims to discourage requests for additional certificates of UPCAT results and to lessen the interruptions in the regular work-flow of the UP Office of Admissions (UPOA). This additional charge is required as the certificates are over and above the notices sent UPCAT examinees via courier.

The P50 fee is not the first time the UPOA has charged for requests. The UPOA had previously obtained permission from the BOR to charge fees for such requests in 1997 and 2002.
